PROJECT 2 (WEEK#1)

The professor introduced us to a new topic on political violence and shared two datasets from the Armed Conflict Location and Event Data (ACLED) project—one focused on India and the other on the United States. After exploring both, I chose the India dataset due to its diversity in event types, geographical spread, and rich actor involvement.

I learned that the dataset records incidents like protests, riots, and violence against civilians, with detailed attributes such as location, date, actors involved, and fatalities.

I plan to  explore the data, identify patterns in political unrest further.
